My Reasoning
There was a long time where I was very frustrated with using Illustrator since I was so used to Photoshop. However, I knew it was a really useful skill to have, so I sat down and took the time to learn how it works this past week. After playing around with it, I realized that it's actually really easy to use, and really fun. I mainly used shapes to make the artwork, but I'm also learning to use the pen tool. I can tell it's gonna take me a bit of time to get use to curves, but it seems really useful.
What I made/Reflection
Being the person that I am, there was only one thing that I could think of to be my first thing to make in Illustrator; a picture of Kirby.
Overall, I think it's not that bad, but I definitely had some things I wanted to be different. Originally, I wanted to use a colored outline, but things started to look weird around the mouth when I did that. I also realized that making shapes bigger from the start, makes them look better when they get exported. I had some issues with scaling the shadow shapes, so I just decided to leave them for now and take a screenshot (I know things for the future now).
This probably won't be the last time I post some art on my blog, so look forward to more soon.
